Amazon.com is great. Always receive my items on time. This Garmin is
great, I really like the voice command feature. You can put in whatever
key word to “wake up” this unit to take your voice commands. Traffic
feature is a waste of time. Stupid adware. Lane guidance is great and
unobtrusive in the upper left hand corner. Bluetooth works great. Also
works with voice command. This unit boots up much quicker than my old 5
year old Garmin. The mount is really effective at holding the unit in
place. I was very surprised at how well the circular metal mounting
plate works. Stays still. To the people that have complained about it
not sticking: clean the surface up first BEFORE you stick it AND make
sure its a FLAT surface. Going to buy another one for the wife.

The actually functioning of the unit, its fast re-calculating, the Bluetooth capability for hands-free phone operation, and the voice recognition all work well. Sometimes I need to slowly repeat the voice command but I expected that. When using the voice command it is not easy to request another state’s address than the one you are presently in when setting up a new address. I found that I had to do this using the screen rather than by voice. I think that needs to be fixed. Overall, I recommend this unit to those who want the combination of good navigation software, bluetooth, and voice recognition.
Garmin Nuvi 2360LMT review by girishc – I have always owned Garmin GPSs cause I love their simple user interfaces, and I believe they have the best routing algorithms in the industry. This one is no different, I love the redesigned screen layout from my previous 2 year old Nuvi. It shows all the relevant information without appearing cluttered. I love the speed limit indicator and lane assist. the ecoRoute feature is amazing. I haven’t yet used it to suggest eco routes, but I used the ecoChallenge feature on a recent 600 mile drive to get the best economy off my suv. I drive a 2011 Toyota Rav4 that rates highway at 26mpg. My average since I bought the car has been close to 22mpg(I live Pittsburgh, very hilly , so city mpg goes south very fast) On my previous drives I averaged 26mpg at the best. Now I drive around 70-75 on a 65mph limit. The ecoRoute number showed me that my rating increased from 71 to 91 if I drove at 65mph. I did not believe it would make such a big difference, but I still tried it this time, and guess what, I got 28mpg. That is damn impressive. It leads me to believe the Rav4 engine is tuned for best mileage at 65mph.
The traffic feature I think is useful, but I haven’t really used it for routing yet. For now, I like the nice icon that tells me there is no traffic, or heavy traffic on my current route ahead of time. That lets me account for it when I am calculating when I would make it to the destination.
The typing suggestions are great, make it a bit faster to type in your addresses. The Bluetooth and voice recognition is fantastic too. It recognizes both my wife’s and my voice. I havent yet made a call through the GPS so cant comment on the mic’s quality.
