Garmin 2360LMT review by Murdock – The new Nuvi 2360 is a lot better and handy than the old stuff. The Blue tooth link up to my phone which upload’s my contacts and makes call’s for me instaed of me actually pickng up my phone is cool. The new technology stuff that is packed in this smaller version is really neat and up to date. We love love it are glad we update from our older model. New cell phones have GPS, yet having a Garmin like this is a lot better for those who travel and need better directions and a more clear device. My cell phone has an app for GPS, yet it does not compare to the NUVI. Not even close. Buying the LMT (Life Time Maps) is the better option so you have an up to date device all the time. If you are going to buy a GPS, going cheap will hurt you in the long run and you will pay more or again later to update or get more quality. Read each device feature(s) and pick the one you really “nead” or want. They all have things that are great for some and useless to others. Each model has it’s own purpose it was made or intended for. The most expensive does not mean the best in every situation.
Just our humble opinion, we are happy with ours and have fun using it all the time.

used this unit for about a month, and have been very pleased. What drew
me to this model is the voice command feature, and it generally works
fine. Sometimes it does not work right away, particularly if there is
extra noise in the vehicle, such as radio/road noise etc. But that is to
be expected. It is now possible to program a location by voice, without
the manual input, which should not be done while driving. This extra
feature and the lifetime maps cost about $150 extra over a basic unit,
and I think it is worth it.

family photos has nothing to do with travel but I suppose you could use its photo function for maps, etc. But more to the point…
It does it’s job well, giving clear to follow directions and excellent maps. The voice function works well, keeping you safe from having to touch the device for simple commands while driving. The traffic feature I did not try this trip. Its receiver is on the power cord so DON’T lose it! It is so easy to use it will be ready for a trip in 10-15 minutes. I think it’s one of Garmin’s best. Oh, it also functions as a pedestrian GPS as well!

The most important features I wanted were the lifetime maps and traffic updates. Secondly, I wanted a unit with voice recognition and bluetooth for hands free operation & phone calls. This unit has performed nicely so far. This is my 3rd Nuvi. Only once did the unit act quirky. I had to reboot it in order for it to recognize the voice commands and to get the volume reset. It works as advertised and is much faster to locate the satellites than my other two units. It also boots up faster. The internal speakers are not the best, but I can live with it. The bluetooth volume for the phone is quieter than the GPS volume. (Maybe there is an adjustment, I have not played with it too much). I would recommend this unit. I enjoy gadgets and this is a fun and practical device.
